Will I regret losing my virginity at 18?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year and for about the past month or so we've been talking a lot about taking the next step and having sex. I genuinely love him, but I'm a realist and I'm not gonna say we'll be together for ever. Like sure, it's possible but it's also very not possible. But even knowing that, I think I still want to sleep with him. He's such a good guy and right now I don't feel like I'd regret it but how am i supposed to know? Will I regret it in the future? Does anyone have personal experience with this? All advice is appreciated.
