30th Surprise birthday party ideas?

I am throwing a small 30th surprise birthday party for a friend at the local bar they have Karaoke that night and I am looking for decorating ideas. Nothing over the top but enough to make a statement any ideas would be great. I have a couple ideas including Hawaiian, 1st anniversary of her 29th birthday, or thirty and flirty. Not really sure how to decorate for any of them any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
